1 review for Lions and Tigers and Terrorists, Oh My!
Rated 5 out of 5

At first, this book grabbed my attention because of the title and intriguing cover, and I wasn’t entirely sure how it would tackle such a complex topic as Terrorism. It didn’t take long to arrive, and as soon as I flipped through, I knew that it had much more to it than I could have guessed. The creative and thoughtful tips for parents about how to get their kids talking about their feelings, collaborating as a family during these crazy times, and building resilience, are all really ‘user friendly’ and approachable. It’s not political propaganda and it’s clear that the author cares about kids and families and wants to help us help the littlest among us. The resilience-building tips and emotional exercises are good for lots of hard topics, too, like bullying or difficulties figuring out what’s important to them and how to build character. Kids grow up so fast these days, and I am grateful to have this book to help me prepare my own kids to be the best they can be, no matter what hard things they face.
